The students of class 8 were divided into two groups to perform this activity. Using mathematical resources, they created quadrilaterals, removed their angles, and joined the cut-outs to get the sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360°.\r\nActivity 2: Let’s go shopping activity - Class 1\r\nHow to handle money is an important life skill that can be taught as soon as children can count, along with the difference between a “want” and a “need.” These concepts form the foundation for understanding the importance of spending, sharing, and saving. In this activity, a shopping complex was established and children were provided with dummy currencies with which they bought the things of their choice.\r\nIt was a fun-filled activity for children which helped them in recapitulating the concept of ‘money’ taught in the class. They learned to identify and understand the differences between the appearances and values of coins, count how much money is needed to purchase an item, and to count change. Also, understand that money lost will not be replaced, things cost money, and that working or getting an allowance are ways to earn money.
