School Culture

"Children must be taught how to think, not what to think”
– Margaret Mead

School culture refers to the way in which students, teachers, and other staff members work together; and the set of beliefs, values, assumptions, and stories that make up the 'persona' of a school.
At The Maalinyai School, all individuals feel valued, cared for, and respected. Thus, the ambience is one that contributes to effective teaching and learning for both students and teachers.

Some of the ways through which The Maalinyai School fosters an enriched school culture are:-

  • Positive teacher-student interactions
  • Promotion of social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
  • Clear, appropriate, and consistent expectations for all
  • Collaborative relationships between the school leader and faculty, as well as between faculty members
