National Sports Day
Sports bring everyone together; through sports, we can create a healthy society, a healthy state, and a healthy nation. Playing a sport not only enhances the physical and mental development of children but also teaches them values like discipline, inclusion, perseverance, respect, practice for betterment, working according to your priorities, playing fairly with others, waiting for the next chance, sharing the credit, and so on. In recognition of the importance of sports in one’s life, the students of The Maalinyai School celebrated Sports Day with great zeal. rnTributes to Major Dhyan Chand who made an exemplary contribution to Indian Hockey and on his birth anniversary we observe National Sports Day. International Tiger Day
International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as a way to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. It was started to raise awareness about the conservation of the wild cat, which over the last 150 years has witnessed a massive drop of nearly 95% in its population. Tiger is a powerful icon of India's cultural and natural heritage and the protection of the iconic animal is deeply linked to our ecology. On this day, let us pledge to further intensify our efforts to create a hospitable habitat for our national animal to thrive. Keeping in mind why Tigers are important our young Maalinyaiites performed poster-making activity.

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
Kargil Vijay Diwas is a memorial to the victory of the Kargil War in India. It is celebrated on the 26th of July every year. It was the day in 1999 when India won the Kargil War against Pakistan. We celebrate it every year to commemorate the victory of the war.rnThe students of The Maalinyai School conducted a special assembly on this occasion. The idea was to make them aware of the armed forces and get their attention towards their contribution and sacrifice for the nation.rn

WORLD EMOJI DAY
World Emoji Day was celebrated in the Maalinyai campus, wherein the students of classes 1 and 2 created cute emojis and coloured them. They were able to talk about their personal emotions, as also, make connections between feelings and appropriate facial expressions via emojis. It was a fun-filled learning experience.

TEAM ACTIVITY
The team participated in the activity Blind Drawing in which they were divided into pairs; a listener and a speaker. Without letting the listener see, the speaker gave instructions according to which the listener had to draw. This activity was conducted to understand what happens when communication breaks down. In particular, it shows the importance of two-way communication. It demonstrates that, in addition to transmitting and interpreting a message, communication is about creating strategies to understand one another.

Paper Bag Day
Paper Bag Day is celebrated on 12 July annually to make people aware of the pollution caused due to plastic and the serious threat that it poses to the natural environment. Plastic waste takes thousands of years to decompose, whereas paper bags can be reused and easily recyclable. Paper bags also offer many eco-friendly benefits to those who use them.
The children of class 3 took part in the activity of making the paper bag. In which using coloured papers they made beautiful paper bags. Through this activity, they have been told the importance of using paper bags. The children enjoyed the activity and learned to say no to plastic bags.
